Senior Product Manager

The Senior Product Manager has ownership of and accountability for GumGum's product. This position demands an in-depth understanding of the ad serving eco-system, with particular expertise on technology and business needs, and business problems of Ad Networks, Online Marketers and Publishers. This position requires strategic thinking, ingenuity, and innovation around in-image advertising, an ad format, that GumGum has both pioneered and leads the market in. There will also be a strong focus on enhancing our contextual understanding of images, via a variety of methodologies, and matching ads accordingly..

Job Responsibilities

  • Ownership and accountability of GumGum's Product.
  • Responsibility over all product lifecycle - from vision to handoff.
  • Interactively work with Senior Management, Sales, Engineering and R&D to define product vision based on customer feedback and functional needs and requirements.
  • Complete planning, prioritization, and execution of product roadmap.
  • Define and drive go-to-market strategy, planning, and execution for new product offerings and releases.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in terms of best practices and product capabilities.
  • Work closely as product partner for Sales and Business Development teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience.
  • 4+ years in the online media industry - experience required.
  • B.A. or equivalent/higher level of education (B.S. in Computer Science or a related field a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the online advertising industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the online media marketplace.
  • Experience with self-service advertising platforms including bidding systems and keyword matching, and fraud detection.
  • Strong process management, business process re-engineering, and analytical skills.

Account Manager, Sales

GumGum seeks an Account Manager, Sales candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is dedicated and detail-oriented for our Santa Monica, Ca. office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the needs of GumGum's existing advertiser relationships are being supported through end-to-end management, as well as campaign management on post sale and proposal and plan development on pre-sale. This person will work closely with the CEO and Account Director, Sales on RFP's and proposal submissions..

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the scheduling, production and implementation of online advertising campaigns.
  • Interface with sales teams to transition new ad campaigns from contract to launch.
  • Support creative/technical related inquiries by customers.
  • Prepare and monitor daily and monthly campaign performance.
  • Own campaign management, campaign analysis and optimization.
  • Identify and implement client growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and help correct any delivery or inventory issues.
  • Provide ongoing competitive analysis in the online/in-image advertising space.
  • Support all outbound sales efforts, working with Account Director, Sales to develop fulfillment programs that will be successful in both the client's and company's eyes.
  • Build and manage all proposals in a timely manner while maintaining a level of creativity and quality.
  • Act as the primary contact point for all client issues and report upon successes/failures.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required in business or marketing.
  • Exposure/usage and understanding of Internet ad serving systems and technologies.
  • Very high-level of accuracy, keen attention to detail and comprehensive, data-driven problem solving.
  • 1-3 years experience in integrated media and online advertising, including familiarity with CPC, CPM, CPA pricing models; agency experience strongly desired.

Communications Manager

The ideal candidate has experience in the internet advertising industry and is excited about the shifts happening in digital media. They should be as comfortable sitting down to talk shop with the product team as they are talking strategy with the executive staff. Candidates should be independent and creative thinkers who know how to find stories and thought leadership opportunities within sales and market trends and data analytics. Strong writing skills are a must as this role will guide blog editorial, bylines, messaging and case study content..

Job Responsibilities

  • Help evolve GumGum's messaging & brand identity based on projected road map.
  • Identify and execute communications strategies and tactics reaching core target audiences that support business goals and build brand awareness.
  • Build media relations program focused on advertising/branding, tech and business media.
  • Create a cross platform (social, media and corporate) communications plan for fall product launch.
  • Oversight of corporate blog editorial calendar and promotion of customer and partner activity through corporate communication and social channels.
  • Coordinate co-marketing and promotion opportunities with new partners; includes releases, original content, media and speaking opportunities.
  • Develop speakers bureau to support broader corporate goals.
  • Develop or oversee creation of thought leadership program, including: industry reports and commentary, by-lined articles, case studies, etc.
  • Input on corporate collateral development and sales materials.
  • Incorporate social media collaboration as needed.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience in managing public relations for startup and technology companies.
  • At least 6 years in PR agency or corporate environments.
  • Proven track record of telling a company's story through a variety of communication channels (employee, social, media, influencer, etc.)
  • Prior experience providing strategic counsel to executive staff.
  • Examples of long and short-term strategies, associated tactics and results.
  • Has a desire to collaborate with all departments to identify communications support needs.

Online Media Designer

The ideal candidate has experience in digital media and is excited about the shifts happening in the space. They should be comfortable collaborating with various clients as well as sitting down with the product and sales teams. Candidates should be independent and creative thinkers who work across a wide range of web-related projects including flash animations, banner campaigns, graphic user interfaces, style guides, website design, and presentation materials. Candidates need to be self-motivated and detail oriented with experience working with major brands..

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute design solutions based on initial conceptual and visual direction from clients.
  • Create in-image media campaigns including flash animations and rich media.
  • Develop mock digital creative to support sales team.
  • Integrate cutting edge creative across internal and external materials, including but not limited to, company website, sales pitch and wrap decks, etc.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Interactive Design or similar discipline preferred; 3+ years of solid design and programming experience.
  • Experience with a design studio, agency or digital media company.
  • Ability to understand and learn new technologies.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software (particularly in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash) and experience in AfterEffects, Soundbooth and Premiere skills are also desirable.
